Reflection #6

This week, in the Chopra reading, we discussed the Law of Creativity and how tapping in to our creative centers, just like Superheroes do, can help us to make decisions that can lead to positive things in life.  For this week’s blog post, you will be reflecting of how you have used creativity at different points in your own life. Then you will do a short analysis of a superhero text, looking at creativity in action on the superhero scale.

First, think back to your childhood. As Chopra illustrates, childhood is a time where your imagination and wonder ruled your world. Describe a particular, specific memory of that time where you were creative and imaginative.

Next, reflect on how you have used creativity to solve a problem or to make a decision in the recent past (i.e. your adult life). As Chopra says, the creative mind doesn’t stay in the rut that the mind creates but instead comes up with a different way of solving a problem that can sometimes lead to innovation. How have you tapped into your creative side?

Finally, look back to a superhero primary text we have read/viewed in class (comic or film), or use a superhero text that you are already familiar with. Describe a moment when the superhero thinks on their feet and uses creativity to win the day.
