This week, we read in Morrison about the concept of
the "fiction suit" (p117), where comics artists and writers like Stan
Lee and Jack Kirby could "send drawn versions of themselves into the
created world of Fantastic Four" or another comic. For the
first part of this week's blog entry, I want you to write a short interaction
between a "fiction suit" version of yourself and a superhero
(preferably not the one you wrote about in Reflective Essay #1). In the
interaction, you might choose to have the superhero save you during a typical
activity (gone horribly awry, of course), or you might just have a conversation
with the hero. It's up to you what type of interaction your "fiction
suit" has with the hero.
For the second part, describe a time in your life when you have
experienced nostalgia. What was it that you were longing for from your past?
How might thinking about that past moment inform your future, as Gordon
explains?
